Safe Families Info Night

Please join us Tuesday night, March 20th 6:30-8pm at Grace Community Fellowship

Hundreds of families in Lane County are living in poverty, with little to no support, one crisis away from losing everything, including their children. Safe Families for Children offers an opportunity to serve and support those families during a crisis. Is this the right time for you and your family to engage? Do you feel like you’re being called into action but not sure what that could look like?

Safe Families in Lane County are looking for host families to take in children, but we have other ways you can be involved, even if taking in extra children isn’t an option for your family right now.  Could you spend a few hours a week mentoring a child who’s family is in crisis? What about being a support for the bio parents whose life is in chaos? Do you have some counseling skills to put to use as a Family Coach? Or maybe you just want to babysit; we could absolutely use you.

We are having an information night to explore some of the different roles within the Safe Families team and how that could look for different families. If Safe Families has been on your heart, and think this might be the right season to jump into serving, we’d love to have you!

Please join us Tuesday night, March 20th at Grace Community Fellowship 6:30-8pm. We’ll have snacks, Childcare and a chance to meet some of our current team, ask questions and figure out where you might fit in.

RSVP to AngelaA@cafaweb.com to ensure we are prepared with materials, snacks and childcare.

Hope you’ll be able to join us!
